Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Parker County Pets Alive (PCPA)!
We are a unique rescue in that we are not foster-based. Our organization provides sponsorships for animals with medical needs at our local shelter, Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter, to help them be adopted. This means our focus is on fundraising and the best ways to accomplish that.
We hold events such as softball tournaments (we don’t play in the tournament), raffles, silent auctions, a booth at Peachfest, and more. Volunteer opportunities include helping with set up, clean up, selling PCPA merchandise, educating the public about heartworm disease and prevention, and raising awareness about PCPA
Many people would not be willing to adopt an animal without a sponsor, knowing medical needs may cost from several hundred to over a thousand dollars.
We hope your experience with us will be as rewarding to you as it is to us. It truly makes a difference, sometimes lifesaving, to these animals. You must be a minimum of 18 years old to volunteer. ID REQUIRED.
